CHEMSPEC, LTD. said EcoVadis recently awarded it a “Silver” Supply Chain Sustainability Rating.
The Silver Rating means that ChemSpec scores in the top 25 percent globally of all companies EcoVadis rates on a variety of sustainability criteria.
EcoVadis ratings cover a broad range of management systems including Environmental, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.
"We’re proud to receive the EcoVadis Silver Rating. ChemSpec, with the support of its parent company Safic-Alcan, is committed to implementing sustainable business practices and becoming more socially conscious," ChemSpec President Dave Moreland said. "We believe that our focus on such things as ethical behavior and protecting our environment are critical responsibilities companies should always strive to improve.
