Nippon Paint manufacture a variety of paints and coatings, including those for automobiles, construction, architecture, steel structures, ships, metal, electrical equipment, machinery, roadways and household appliances, among others. Nippon Paint is one of the largest paint manufacturers in Asia and today with 33 manufacturing plants, produces more than one million tons of paint and coatings annually. In Asia, all Nippon Paint offices are managed by the Nipsea Group. Nippon reported revenue of $2.305 bn for 2012.
NIPSEA Group manufactures and sells Nippon Paint products in 15 Asian countries. Each of Nipsea’s 30 manufacturing facilities and operations is committed to offering trusted, professional service to its customers. Overall, the company generates close to one billion liters of paints and coatings annually.
Nippon recently entered into a joint venture with Silicone Coatings. The JV will be called Nippon Paint Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. Nippolac is one of the most popular paint brands in Sri Lanka, providing a wide range of coating solutions. Together with the new strengthened collaboration with Nippon Paint, it will provide a comprehensive range of paints and coatings including the decorative segment, auto refinishes, industrial and marine coatings to the Sri Lankan market in the near future.
“Sri Lanka is one market in Asia which will prosper in the future and we are certain that the construction sector here will grow rapidly,” said Fujitha Tetsuro, chief operating officer of Nippon Paint South East Asia. “With this joint venture, we hope to unveil more innovative coatings solutions, sharing the Japanese technology with Nippon Paints Lanka (pvt) Ltdt.”
