Siltech®C-20
Description
Siltech®C-20 is a carbinol functional silicone glycol copolymer surfactant. It is a solvent free, 100% active product. It imparts mar resistance and better slip to coatings
Application & Uses
Siltech®C-20 additive can be used in solvent, water-based or solvent-less systems. It effectively reduces surface tension and provides mar resistance or slip finishes. It also provides other benefits such as leveling, wetting, flow-out and aids pigment dispersion.
Siltech®C-20 is effective at low concentrations. The recommended concentration used is between 0.01-0.1% weight percent based on total solids. It should be added during the final thinning step. Preliminary tests in laboratory or a small-scale production unit is necessary to obtain optimum results.
