Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev), the leading global brewer, and ACTEGA, a leading coatings and sealants manufacturer and member of the ALTANA Group, have entered into a partnership in which ACTEGA will provide PVC-free closure compounds to AB InBev in China. To this end, ACTEGA will build an additional production line at its Foshan site in South China. “We are looking forward to manufacturing our proven high-end products directly in China,” says ACTEGA Division President Dr. Roland Peter. “This is an important new step in our long-term cooperation with Anheuser-Busch InBev.”
Closure compounds produced by ACTEGA for AB InBev have set international industry benchmarks. They are not only PVC-free but fulfill the highest requirements for retaining the taste of the beverage. They are, for example, specifically designed to protect filling goods from ingress of oxygen even under difficult transportation conditions. At the same time, they improve the retention of carbon dioxide inside the bottle and thus extend the beer’s shelf life.
