The American Tri-Five Association will hold its second annual celebration of the iconic Tri-Five (1955, 1956 and 1957) Chevrolets, on August 12-13 at the Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Axalta Coating Systems will showcase Jerry and Lorrie Jacobs' 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air at the event.
The Bel Air is painted with Axalta's Hot HuesTM Candy Brandywine and Candy Charcoal. It features a 573 cubic inch, blown-and-injected polished aluminum engine; a hand-built, all-aluminum hood; a sectioned top; a shaved body; a custom-processed trim; an all-leather interior; a full-custom chassis by Chassisworks, and an Aerospace Components drag race differential.
The Danchuk Tri-Five Nationals is the world’s largest gathering of 1955, 1956 and 1957 Chevrolets and attracts more than 11,000 attendees and almost 1,900 cars representing 47 states as well as the countries of South Africa, Germany, New Zealand, Australia, Sweden, Norway and France. Builders and enthusiasts will gather to network, develop ideas and answer the all-important question, “What color should I paint my new project car?”
Axalta representatives will be on hand to offer show attendees amazing examples of automotive art created with our brilliant paint including all of Axalta’s global refinish brands: Cromax, Nason, Standox and Spies Hecker as well as our Hot Hues line of custom colors.
