Evolving architectural paint regulations and programs limiting the use and emission of volatile organic compounds (VOC) around the world will be the focus of a webinar hosted this fall by Eastman Chemical Company in conjunction with Paint and Coatings Industry (PCI) Magazine.
The free webinar, titled “Puzzled by Global VOC and Emission Changes in Architectural Paints?” will take place Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 2:00 PM (EDT).
The course will last one hour.
A veteran of the coatings industry, Jennifer Cogar, will conduct the webinar.
Cogar is a global application technology leader in architectural coatings at Eastman. Cogar has 30 years of experience in the coatings industry, 17 of which have been spent at Eastman. Her background includes work in a variety of functions, including product development, polymer characterization, technical service, technical marketing, and global marketing.
“We know it’s challenging to manage and implement various regulations,” she said. “This webinar was created to be a resource for formulators who want help understanding current regulatory frameworks across the globe.”
Regulations and VOC labeling programs for architectural paint have evolved. Mandatory and voluntary guidelines change at different paces in various regions, making it challenging for formulators to stay current in their knowledge.
This webinar is designed to explain current and potential regulatory changes in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. It will also help attendees determine how the regulatory landscape impacts their specific formulations, how to adapt when necessary, and how to minimize reformulation work while still achieving compliance.
To register for the webinar, visit PCI.com. Registering for the webinar enables you to view the video on-demand in the event that you are unable to attend live.
There is no cost to register.
