The Energy Solutions business of Axalta Coating Systems won an award in the category of New Materials Development and Applications at the 9th International Conference on Electrical Rotating Machines and Drives (ELROMA) 2017 in Mumbai, India. Organized every three years by the Rotating Machines Division of the Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association (IEEMA), ELROMA 2017 took place Sept. 14-15.
The theme of the ELROMA 2017 conference was Emerging Technologies in Electrical Rotating Machines and Drives with six sessions, each of which had between six and seven papers presented. Alexander Neumann, Project Leader for Axalta’s Energy Solutions business in EMEA presented a paper on Low Emission Unsaturated Polyesterimide Resin for Medium and High Voltage Applications in the New Materials Development & Applications category.
“We were delighted not only that our paper was selected best in category, but also that it was received with such interest by the attending delegates and leading consultants in electrical insulating materials,” says Vivek Shitole, Axalta’s Business Manager India for Energy Solutions – Voltatex. “India is a very important market for Axalta, and with this recognition from such an esteemed association, this is an exceptional opportunity for us to demonstrate our expertise and to raise our profile with potential customers in this sector.”
Axalta’s award-winning Energy Solutions paper will be published in the IEEMA Journal.
The event was attended by 400 delegates from both Indian and international companies in the industry.
“IEEMA is the apex body for the entire Indian electrical industry,” Shitole said. “Its members produce transformers, power and distribution machinery, rotating machines, alternators and switchgears, as well as towers, conductors, magnet wires, capacitors, cables, insulators, energy meters and surge arrestors. This means ELROMA offers an important platform for global and local manufacturers to network and to keep abreast of significant developments in the industry.”
