Now in its third generation of family ownership, ADLER-Werk Lackfabrik is Austria’s leading manufacturer of varnishes, paints and wood preservatives. ADLER-Werk had a strong year in 2021, with sales growing to $171 million, with exports accounting for 68% of its sales. Overall, the company produces 22,000 tons of paint and coatings, and has 670 employees and locations in nine countries.
ADLER-Werk’s focus is sustainability, most notably water-based products, which make up 65% of its sales and include brands like Aquawoodm, Arova, Bluefin and Lignovit. Aviva is its interior paint line.
