Taiho Paint’s sales increased by about 2% as raw material prices rose sharply due to COVID-19 and the depreciation of the yen. However, as the increase price is lower than the increase of raw materials, the profit declined and shipments decreased.
For 2022, industrial coatings sales were 71.9% of TAIHO PAINT’s revenue, with architectural another 22.3%. Outside of Dongguan, Taiho Paint has two facilities in Taiwan and operations in Shanghai, Chengdu, and Japan, and overall, has 1,505 employees.
Due to the lockdown of COVID-19 and unstable logistics, the research and development of raw material replacement was carried out to solve the problem of delayed and insufficient supply of raw materials, which basically eliminated the problem of insufficient supply of raw materials.
TAIHO PAINT is active in new markets. Among these new products are new antibacterial and antiviral coating products, which were launched and praised by many parties in the market, as well as having developed a cost-effective furniture primer series coating products and new production processes of thin-coated high-penetration series coating, which can better serve the new demand of coating products in the post-epidemic era.
