Best known for its environmentally friendly architectural paints and coatings, Kikusui Chemical Industries Co. Ltd. had a solid year in 2023, with sales remaining stable at 22 billion yen from the previous year. Kikusui has five factories in Japan, located in Inuyama, Ibaraki, Fukuoka, Kakamigahara and Tokai, and manufactures water-based interior and exterior paints in addition to other building materials. In July 2024, Kikusui introduced flame-retardant certified products to its Modern Art Interior line.
