Go For the Bold “Sun God” Named Kelly-Moore Paints 2020 Color of the Year
Kelly-Moore’s 2020 Color of the Year is KM5183 Sun God.
“There’s definitely a surge toward more colorful livable rooms with quirky shapes and personal touches,” said Shannon Kaye, who recently joined Kelly-Moore as the company’s Color Marketing manager. “We’re excited about this trend, as some of our favorite colors are finally seeing the light of day.
“Pinks are fading into the sunset becoming dusty and warm as mossy greens and ink
y blues expand into furniture, rugs, decorative art, and textiles,” Kaye added. “Mixed with punches of bold hues and exaggerated jewel tones this unexplored palette combines the sleek mass-produced deco look of the 60s and 80s with natural materials, and a clean European aesthetic.”
Other colors include KM5527 Dragon’s Fire (a flamboyant magenta), and KM4833 Camping Trip (chalky green) mixed with KM4994 Silver Blueberry (soft indigo), HLS4261 Tiffany Amber (golden tan), and soft off whites like KM4548 Bobcat Whiskers and KMW23 Bechamel.
Supporting background colors will be: HLS4304 Snow Globe, KM4934 Zebra Finch, KM4412 Persian Bazaar, KM4711 Bauhaus Tan, KM4995 Navy Damask, KM4515 Corkscrew Willow, KM4946 Seaweed Wrap, KM4877 Night White, KM4997 Whale’s Mouth, and HLS4266 Tobey Rattan.
