Through shared company values, Manchester based companies, HMG Paints, Taylor Fay Homes and Macmillan Cancer Support have come together to show how businesses can utilise their core business activities to make a huge positive impact in their community, through HMG Paints’ “Paint The Town Green” campaign.
From quality coatings to supporting a worthwhile charity the UK’s largest independent paint manufacturer, HMG Paints have linked the two together with the Manchester Colour Collection paints, part of the Paint the Town Green campaign. First launched in 2016 the campaign aims to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and the services they offer to families affected by cancer, by donating £3 for every 5 litres of the Manchester Colour Collection sold.
Manchester City Councils preferred property developers Taylor Fay Homes purchased 12 homes in North Manchester in late 2016 with a vision to bring some colour back in to the community, with the help of HMG Paints and the Manchester Colour Collection; they have managed to do so. “We love Manchester so the obvious choice was to go for Manchester themed colours, from a Manchester based firm, and it was the icing on the cake when we found out that the colour range supports Macmillan as it fits perfectly within our companies values” said Tors Sinclair, Taylor Fay Homes co-founder.
Combining renovating homes with giving back to charity, the trio have it all covered. “It’s great to be able to combine simultaneously purchasing paints that are crucial to our projects, with donating to a worthwhile cause, without compromising on quality. With that and the high standard specification service they provide, our decorators are requesting HMG paints and won't work with anything else.” Sally Lister, Taylor Fay Homes co-founder said.
Mandy West, Macmillan Cancer Support’s Fundraising Manager is delighted to see the results of the colour collection in Taylor Fay’s project “We are so happy to see this simple but effective campaign thriving, it was fantastic to meet the ladies from Taylor Fay and see how lovely the paint is looking in the homes and let them know first-hand how their paint purchase and donation has supported Macmillan’s services.”
“Taylor Fay Homes have been creating beautiful restorations for the last 3 years, and as soon as we created the Manchester Colour Collection with Macmillan we knew due to the companies shared values that Taylor Fay would be delighted to use the colours. We are over-joyed with the results not only in how the paint colours complement the homes, but with the donations we have achieved for Macmillan, which wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of Taylor Fay” said Gracienne Ikin, HMG Paints Marketing and Communications Executive.
