A capacity expansion of its Columbus, Ga. facility will add an additional 20 percent of polyester resin manufacturing output to the existing manufacturing capabilities, the Stepan Company said.
"This move reflects our commitment to supply the highest quality products with continued reliability and service,” says Sean Moriarty, VP and GM, Polymers. “Our Columbus site is an important part of Stepan's global manufacturing network that includes facilities in Germany, Poland and China, and this expansion will allow us to meet our growing customers' demands."
The company has operated a liquid and solid polyester resin facility in Columbus since the site was acquired from Bayer MaterialSciences in 2013.
