Color stylists from PPG curated three distinct trend themes: Labyrinth, Carousel and Hide Away.
- Labyrinth – A palette to make a statement, encompassing simple colors that stand out bold and proud. These timeless classic shades complement natural wood and recycled materials;
- Carousel – A bright and daring palette boasting bold pinks and purples, perfect for feature walls, complemented by effortless neutral shades for a confident and playful look;
- Hide Away – A selection of sophisticated warm neutrals that are offset by bursts of intense blue shades, the perfect combination to create a cozy, homely atmosphere.
"This year is all about embracing color and inspiring people to use it in unique ways – whether that’s through pairing bold shades with sophisticated neutrals, or being clever with palettes and design features to make the most of different spaces," said Donna Taylor, color expert, PPG.
The range has been segmented into six clear job focused collections; Wall & Ceiling, Washable, Kitchen, Bathroom, One Coat, and Feature Wall, with Metallics due to launch in Spring.
The feature wall is only set to be a bigger trend for 2019 with statement colors getting ever more popular, and the new Feature Wall range offers the perfect collection of shades to bring a burst of color and a splash of maximalism to the home.
New tropical hues to help bring the outdoors in include the bright blue Caribbean Tide and the olive Amphibious green.
The warming Maple Haze and deep and brooding Midnight Sapphire add a cozy, hygge hue for the home.
For botanical and fruity tones, look no further than the refreshing Apple Spritz and the soothing Dusky Berry.
For those where bolder is better, bright statement shades include the fun Vivid Violet and the rich Empire Jewel.
The Kitchen and Bathroom ranges have also been updated to echo key trends for 2019.
DIY-ers can create a private spa at home with new calming Bathroom shades including Ice Lake, Botanical Pearl and Silk Spa.
Refresh the heart of the home with new Kitchen colors including the serene Apple Flower, homely Hemlock or modern Manhattan Grey.
