Sheboygan Paint Company's Board of Directors appointed Peter Kirton as CEO, effective April 20, the company announced.
Kirton succeeds Richard Klimpel who will continue with the organization in support of Kirton to ensure an effective transition of the business leadership role.
Klimpel will also stay involved in the organization after his retirement at a director level on the Board.
Kirton has built an extensive background in leading coatings businesses in Europe and the Americas, having also served in a variety of key executive roles in the areas of sales, marketing, operations, and research and development.
He comes to Sheboygan Paint Company from the Tennant Company, where he was the VP of Coatings, Americas.
Sheboygan Paint will continue to support and promote the level of quality and service that the industry has come to expect, along with the custom product design approach to the industrial coatings market segment that has set the company apart from its competition.
Sheboygan Paint Company supplies customers nationally and was recently announced as the 22nd largest paint company in North America, focusing solely on producing functional coatings for a variety of industrial end-use markets, a strategy Kirton will be accelerating to deliver continued growth within the industrial market segment.
