PPG announced the completion of a COLORFUL COMMUNITIES project at the Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni), Samutprakarn School in Samutprakarn. The project brought together 52 PPG volunteers who spent 156 hours beautifying the school’s sports ground.
PPG provided more than $11,500 (440,000 baht) in products and services to assist with the project, including 38 gallons (144 liters) of PPG SIGMACOVER epoxy paint for the sports ground. In addition, PPG donated sports equipment and delivered sport kits to the students.
The Colorful Communities program provides PPG volunteers and products along with financial contributions to bring color to communities where the company operates around the world, such as in Samutprakarn, where PPG has a packaging coatings plant and warehouse facility.
The Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni), Samutprakarn School has more than 1,900 elementary and high school students, many of whom are from poor families.
“I would like to thank PPG management and volunteers for supporting our school,” said Chalin Silapasomsakdi, headteacher of the Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni), Samutprakarn School. “This great activity benefits everyone in the school, especially our students. It is our goal to make them healthy, and this is easier now the school sports ground is bright and attractive.”
