Led by Envirocron HTE (high-transfer-efficiency) coating for geometrically complex surfaces, the Envirocron product line includes resin chemistries such as epoxy, polyester, polyurethane and hybrid epoxy-polyester coatings. Each formulation was created to help manufacturers achieve specific performance goals, such as better chemical resistance or corrosion resistance, while also providing exceptional durability, hardness and low VOC (volatile organic compound) content.
Another show highlight will be Envirocron XMR (eXtreme Mar Resistance) coatings. With a proprietary PPG formulation that gives ceramic-like properties to the surface of these powder coatings, they can achieve the hardness and mar resistance typically associated with porcelain enamel coatings. That helps PPG powder coatings customers in the appliance, general finish, transportation and wheel segments make products that look better and last longer.
PPG will also display Enviracryl acrylic-based powder coatings, which provide high-gloss color and clear-coat protection for class A-type finishes. These products are based on the same technology that has made Enviracryl coatings an industry-leading choice for automotive clear coating, wheel and transportation applications.
Shelley Verdun, PPG powder product manager, industrial coatings, said, “PPG’s powder coatings lineup demonstrates our continuing investment in product development to support customers’ needs. Our powder coatings help manufacturers meet environmental mandates while offering excellent versatility, quality, aesthetics and durability, so they are increasingly in demand.”
