Axalta-Huajia Coatings, a joint-venture company of Axalta Coating Systems has provided its environmentally responsible Alesta® powder coatings to Thermos, a worldwide manufacturer of insulated food and beverage containers, children’s lunch kits and other innovative consumer products. Applied to the exterior of Thermos food and beverage containers, Alesta coatings are designed to meet food safety requirements, while delivering brilliant color, high durability, and UV and chemical resistance.
Since 2016, Axalta has collaborated with Thermos on its R&D and product innovation to develop customized powder coating solutions that will replace solventborne coatings and help the company to achieve its sustainability goals.

Alesta powder coatings have superior durability and are available in a wide selection of colors, effects, and gloss levels. In addition to the sustainable nature of powder products which contain no VOC and targeted HAP emissions, the coating can be used in versatile applications from tableware, to doors, window frames, cladding and other architectural components.
