Axalta launched its Spies Hecker Waterborne Full System, its latest full-layer waterborne solution for refinish customers, in the Chinese market.
The new auto refinish coating system brings world-class technology to the Chinese refinishing industry while providing excellent color performance and a professional high-quality finish, according to Axalta.
Engineered using Axalta’s waterborne technology, the new Spies Hecker Waterborne sealer, sanding surfacer, and epoxy primer join the existing basecoat and clearcoat to form a complete system.
Designed from top to bottom to satisfy the needs of body shops, this all-in-one solution is easy to apply and offers fast drying times, while promising a beautiful finish with high color accuracy and superior durability, Axalta said.
More importantly, it is designed for the environment, utilizing a waterborne solution that emits fewer volatile organic compounds (VOCs) than solvent-borne systems, the company said.
The Spies Hecker Waterborne Full System meets the new GB24409 - 2020 national mandatory standards in China.
The Spies Hecker Waterborne Full System was unveiled and demonstrated to refinish customers at Axalta’s opening ceremony of its Southern Refinish Training Centre (RTC) in Guangzhou.
At the demonstration, John Fei, Axalta Refinish China business director, said, “For over 3 decades, Axalta has continued to invest in the Chinese market through facilities such as the RTC and by bringing our latest innovative and environmentally responsible products and applications to customers across China."
