PPG’s workforce completed a Colorful Communities project in Wrocław, Poland, regenerating the interior and exterior of the Samarytanin Retirement Home.
Forty PPG volunteers spent five days revitalizing benches in the garden, using products, paints and brushes, all donated by PPG. They also helped to clean and prepare the interior after professional contractor´s job was done in the resting room. All together, they used nearly 200 liters of Sigma Torno, Sigma Indurin and Dekoral Professional paint products.

Volunteers worked closely with the foundation, "Understanding Without Barriers." The foundation aims to blur generational differences, reduce age discrimination and increase connectivity between age groups. One of the Foundation’s projects, "Grandmother’s and Grandfather’s Corner," is working towards renovating and beautifying resting areas in retirement homes across Poland.
Joining together, the foundation and PPG volunteers organized teams for construction, design and painters. The teams redecorated, repainted and equipped the living room at the Samarytanin home, where over 100 residents and their families enjoy spending time together.

“We were working together in a great atmosphere, I’m convinced that the job we’ve done in the retirement home will serve the residents of this retirement home for years,” said Andrzej Zygadło, HR director, Central Europe, Middle East & Turkey. “I’m also glad that we could use our wonderful, colorful products to show the full range of PPG capabilities.”
