The SSCT is seeking technical papers for its annual meeting, which takes place April 14-17, 2019 at the Charleston Marriott (Charleston, SC).
Any interested parties should e-mail SSCTORG@gmail.com and complete the abstract format.
Speakers will be asked to present on the mornings of April 15, 16 and 17.
It is the SSCT’s goal to further the advancement of coatings technology through these speaker platforms.

The criteria for the presentations are:
- Abstract and Picture: An abstract for the presentation is required. The abstract must be submitted in its entirety. Submission deadline is no later than Dec. 15, 2018. There is a 250-word maximum. It should include Name, Title, Company, Abstract title, and picture (2.5 inches by 2.5 inches/225 pixels by 225 pixels). The abstract must be sent to SSCTORG@gmail.com as a Word document, not a PDF. Acceptance letters will be sent on or before Jan. 15, 2019;
- Short Bio: The 200-word maximum short biography submission is due no later than Jan. 15, 2019. Submit to SSCTORG@gmail.com as a Word document, not a PDF;
- Time: Presentations should be no less than 20 minutes and no longer than 30 minutes;
- Audio Visual Equipment: The submitted presentation will be readily available on the SSCT computer for presenting;
- Presentation: The actual PowerPoint presentation should be e-mailed to SSCTORG@gmail.com no later than March 15, 2019.
- Content: The SSCT will be reviewing the presentations solely based on the technical content and contribution. It is the SSCT’s goal to have educational technical presentations to improve the understanding of the science of coatings. The SSCT is trying to challenge traditional methods of formulation as well as solve conventional issues that have plagued formulators utilizing new technologies and approaches. It is also the SSCT’s goal to improve coatings performance and functionality beyond traditional expectations. The SSCT anticipates seeing a company logo on the title and acknowledgment slides. However, the SSCT does not expect the presentations to be a platform for new proprietary product introductions, specific trade name promotions, or a lengthy commercial for the speaker’s employer.
