Axalta Coating Systems is featuring a new post on its popular Color Block blog that explores how red is ubiquitous in the summer of 2015. The new post, titled Red Hot Summer can be viewed at axaltacs.com/us/color as part of a year-long campaign celebrating Axalta’s Automotive Color of the Year 2015–Radiant Red.
In the post, Axalta’s Color Marketing Manager, Dan Benton, tantalizes taste buds by highlighting Radiant Red summer treats including cherry-red popsicles, juicy tomatoes and spicy fresh salsas. Benton connects these dynamic shades to Axalta’s industrial products that can be spotted on roller coasters and other amusement park rides throughout the country.
“While enjoying summer, many of us have noticed the prominence of the color red,” said Benton. “I was thrilled to see many brilliant red cars at the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit. And at a recent baseball game, as my family and I sung the National Anthem, I was acutely aware of the lyrics–‘rocket’s red glare.’ Red is everywhere.”
Axalta announced its Automotive Color of the Year 2015 in November at the SEMA tradeshow in Las Vegas after statistics showed an uptick in red popularity by car buyers worldwide. Axalta’s 2016 Automotive Color of the Year will be announced in January.
