The Southern Society of Coatings Technology will present Coatings 101: Coatings for Non-Formulators June 6-8.
The approximate 11 hour, 3 - ½ day session is intended to provide a basic overview of the paint and coatings industry. Subjects will include market and application overviews, raw materials, coating formulating, processing and application. This course is intended for the employees of companies supplying raw materials or involved in coatings manufacturing including sales, office support staff, quality control, technicians and new chemists, operations and purchasing. A certificate of completion and 1 CEU credit will be awarded after completion of the course.
The SSCT will also be offering a two hour session on Color Theory - for course attendees only - which will be held on Tuesday afternoon, June 7 from 3 – 5 pm. This course will be conducted by Rebecca Daley, Ferro Color.
