Axalta Coating Systems recently announced collaboration with the Tianjin Vehicle Maintenance Administrative Office to offer advanced, technical education on waterborne coating technology to more than 60 Tianjin automotive service companies. Technicians received training on the benefits of waterborne coatings and learned to improve their application skills using Cromax® Pro waterborne refinish products, Axalta’s premium refinish brand which is highly regarded for its sustainable attributes. Axalta’s participation contributes to the success of the “Tianjin Blue Sky project”, a local, government-led sustainable auto repair program.
"We’re honored to join hands with the Tianjin Vehicle Maintenance Administrative Office to host the training program," said Zheng Xiaodong, Axalta’s Business Director of China’s Refinish Coatings. "We are confident that Tianjin’s automotive repair businesses who participate in the training will find it easy to use our innovative waterborne coating solutions and spraying systems. The adoption of sustainable processes and solutions by Tianjin’s automotive businesses will accelerate support for the ‘Blue Sky project’ and help to improve air quality in the region.”
Committed to providing its customers in China with sustainable products, Axalta currently operates a waterborne coatings manufacturing facility in Jiading. Axalta’s newly opened Asia-Pacific Technology Center also houses one of the organization’s largest refinish training centers which is designed to educate and train both OEMs and refinish customers on sustainable coating technologies.
