PPG will highlight its complete line of printed electronics, conductive coatings and display coatings, and Songwei Lu, a PPG researcher, will present a paper, at Display Week 2016, sponsored by the Society for Information Display (SID), at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, May 24-26.
Lu will present “Functional Coatings for Display Applications by Using a Spray Process” on Thursday, May 26, at 5 p.m. in the Metreon’s City View Room. The paper examines how optical functional coatings can be spray-deposited on pretreated glass surfaces and cured at temperatures as low as 302 F (150 C) to maintain cleanability, durability and wear resistance.
Visitors to the PPG booth will learn about PPG’s state-of-the-art transparent and conductive coatings for display glass and touchscreens, as well as its anti-smudge (AS), anti-glare (AG), anti-reflective (AR) and anti-fingerprint (AFP) coatings. Spray-applied coatings for electromagnetic (EMI), radio-frequency (RFI) and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection, as well as lightning-guard coatings, also will be featured.
PPG display coatings are available for consumer electronics, airplanes, automobiles and military vehicles and equipment.
SID's Display Week is the premier international event for the electronic display industry, where breakthrough technologies are introduced. Display Week offers synergies unparalleled by any other display event, comprised of attendees and exhibitors representing the foremost display-engineering talent from all over the world, as well as leaders representing both the commercial and consumer markets.
